I've only been on the mac a few weeks now and that means I haven't
seen any other OS but for Lion.  I thought I could always see the
library folder you speak of here.  Now my primary user account is
still admin based; haven't set it down to standard user yet.  Dunno if
that makes a difference or not.  Plus I can see all those folders from
the shell (terminal) too.

The command line is a great way to get around on unix and linux
environments.
