Hi.
Has anyone done a podcast or complete guide to how to set up chrome on the
mac? Not sure how to get started with chrome vox and such.
Thanks.

You can do these things in preferences. You may have to put up with two
things speaking at once temporarily, however. With Voiceover on, go into
preferences in chrome, go to the general tab, and change your default
browser there. Go to the extensions tab to first disable, then remove
Chromevox.

in Safari and webkit too and i have also seen this behaviour with other
screen readers on other platforms.

does not see lists, such as what you might find on some email sites. Also,
pressing vo shift u to hear the location of a link does not work. I have
also seen times where using voiceover to click links does not work, but this
only happens sometimes. Over all chrome is good to have around, you can also
install chromevox and enable and disable it as you wish.

I'm finding that I don't really care to use a separate voicing app for one
particular web browser, because I have to turn off VO, and turn it back on
when switching windows, and also, the two text-to-speech chrome extensions,
Chromevox and MetalMouth, do not work in parts of the browser other than the
page content.
