That's where it is on a portable keyboard, but not on the full size. The bottom row of the full size has duel alt, control, and option keys one set to each side of the space bar.
The portable keyboard has fn, on the bottom left, then a full complement of control, option, command. Then command and option on the right of the space bar. Which still begs the question...
