My full sized Apple extended keyboard does not have an FN key. I replaced the thin keyboard which came with my IMac as it was torture for my wrists. I bought an old style IMac keyboard which was generally much better for me but as I say does not have an FN key. Where people suggest it is on the six pack set of keys is instead a help key. .. i was initially concerned about this but have found no occasion in practice when I need to use the FN key. . I still have volume up and down and eject keys working fine which is pretty much all the hardware control I need from the keyboard. On 21 Feb 2012, at 23:22, erik burggraaf wrote:
