Hi Kirsten,

If you are interacting with the messages table, then make sure you use
VO-Fn-Shift-Left and Right arrow on a laptop to move to the start or end of the
list. Even if you have Quick Nav turned on, so you can use your right and left
arrow keys to navigate without simultaneously pressing the VO keys (Control and
Option), you still need to press these keys as part of the shortcut definition
for moving to the top or bottom of a list. If you want a simpler combination
to use as a keyboard shortcut, you can use Keyboard Commander in VoiceOver
Utility to set up a definition. Or you can custom define a gesture for moving
to the top or bottom of a list if you use TrackPad Commander for most of your
navigation.

When you navigate to the "Mesages Column" in mail you interact twice: first
when you reach this column, then there will be two items. You'll probably hear
"Sort by date" after you interact. Navigate (with VO-Right arrow or Right
arrow with Quick Nav on, or by flicking right on the track pad with TrackPad
Commander on) to "Messages" and interact again. Then try VO-Fn-Shift left
arrow or right arrow to move to the top or bottom of the list. This command
also works for columns or lists in Finder.

HTH. Cheers,

Esther
