Hello, all. I'm hoping this isn't an inappropriate question for the list, but
I'm trying to find out something on behalf of a
friend. He's got an older macboo. It isn't capable of running OSX 10.6, but he
thinks it might be able to run 10.5.
Unfortunately, when he bought the macbook, it didn't come with any Install CDs
or anything. This individual is on an
extremely tight budget, so I'm trying to find out if there's a way to get ahold
of OSX 10.5 for little or no cost. If it's
reasonably priced, I would even be willing to help him buy it, but if there's a
free alternative somehow, or a resource I can
point him towards, I would really appreciate any information you may have.
Please feel free to contact me off list to reduce
list traffic. Like I said, I hope this question isn't out of line; I definitely
want to help my friend acquire the software
he needs through legal channels, but my macbook is too new for me to have the
software he needs.
Thank you all for your time, and I hope that everyone is having a really great
day.
Missy
