Well, you are doing nothing wrong. It's a quark of the way Drop box menus are
accessed. It's a bit tricky.
1. Make sure that, in Voice Over utilities, you set VO to report when the
mouse enters a new window.
2. Now, Press Control+F8 to access the Universal access menu.
3. Now, Move your finger along the very top of the track pad exactly in a
straight line until you hear, "Drop Box". Lift your finger off the pad.
4. Now, press the down arrow key to get in to the menu. Whether or not you
can access the preferences window from here is a hit or miss proposition.
Drop Box has yet to substantively address this issue of accessibility
for us despite very many of us writing them time and time and time again. All
any of us get is a generic, "We're are aware of it and are working on it."
That explains why, from time to time, you'll see one or other of us come on
here and ask whether an alternative to Drop Box has been found. To the best of
my knowledge, the answer, so far, is no.
Sincerely,
The Constantly Barefooted Ray!!!
