Hello Stacey. Your best bet is to go to Google Groups, on the web, look for VI phone, and there is a link which reads apply for membership.
There is a comment field which you have to fill in which asks you to fill in about yourself and the reason for joining. I was on it for a while and I do not have a Gmail account. Kawal.
