Dear Ioana, Yes, I have a rule set up on my mac in mail preferences that moves messages from macvisionaries to a mailbox I have created. I have not got any rules in Google itself - I did not know it was possible.. And I have turned off all the labels.
Thanks for trying to help. I will double check the labels in Google in case I missed something.
