Actually, the Firefox nightly build is adequate enough for solving capchas and doing a little web browsing. The current stable releases do not work.
Here's a link to the nightly builds: http://nightly.mozilla.org Once you install this, you will have to go to the extensions tab in preferences and install WebVisum. If you don't have a WebVisum account yet, you might want to set that up with a different browser on its webpage first. Firefox nightly works well for the purpose of solving capchas independently, but it's far from ready for prime-time browsing, and requires some tweaking and patience.
