Sara,

I've had another look and under the "go" menu item in the menu bar, you will 
see shortcut key combination command+1 through to command+4 which actually take 
you through the various choices in the table without you having to choose with 
vo arrow keys. On top of that, rather helpfully, Voiceover announces which 
function you have chosen. It's very neat. Try it. So you can be focused on the 
search field and switch with command+1 to 4 key combinations between 
dictionary, conjugation, etc. I gather that it is a feature to help us navigate 
more quickly from function to function.
