Hi, May I offer an alternate method that works in ML but didn't work in Lion. In the old instructions after vo to the vertical splitter and routing mouse to it you do not have to perform the physical click (at least not I). I performed VO Shift space twice rapidly. VO announces "collapsed". IF you stop interacting with the splitter and vo right you should reach the horizontal one and preview should be gone. hth,
