Hi Phil, I've never done anything with Boot Camp, but a search of Apple's own documentation pulls up the following (with source locations so you can check this yourself): Source: Boot Camp Installation & Setup Guide http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/boot_camp_install-setup.pdf <begin quote> Under "What you need" section A USB keyboard and mouse, or a built-in keyboard and trackpad <end quote> Also, the Apple Knowledge base has an entry, "Boot Camp 4.0, OS X Lion and Mountain Lion: Frequently asked questions" http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4818
One of the questions is about why using a wireless mouse doesn't work with the installation, and the answer is that there are not wireless mouse drivers in this version of Boot Camp, so you have to use a USB mouse. I suspect the "built-in" keyboard and trackpad alternatives refer to laptops. My reading of this is that you need to use a USB mouse to do your setup. On the other hand, I've never done this installation myself. HTH.
