I just tried it and the context menu came up with 5 items; one item was "New 
email" and the others were things like copy, Add to VIP, etc.  I don't think 
any of these options will enable replying to the original thread.  I could be 
wrong though.  If so, then we may need to settle for copying the original 
address and then do a normal reply and paste in.

I think some of these issues are caused by the way the email list is configured.
