The problem I found with activitiies is that they cause app switching to take a
relatively long time. For instance, I used to have an activity that would
enable quicknav whenever I entered an application that uses html, like Safari
or the App Store. However, I quickly found that when I switched to or away from
any of those apps, it took a second or two, instead of being immediate. I soon
discovered that, for me, the delay was more frustrating than manually enabling
quicknav when I want it, so I removed the activities. Maybe I did something
wrong, though. If you have a way to use activities that are tied to apps with
no delay, I'd be very interested. Any help I can get with hotspots would be
welcomed as well, as I never really understood them and I hear others say they
disappear and aren't worth it.
