I would, since it will ask you to reauthorize your account, and if you do
that, you'll lose one out of your 5 authorizations. If you deauthorize,
you'll get that number back in case you ever need to authorize up to 5
computers in the future.

I am giving serious consideration to doing a clean install of Mountain Lion.
I am wondering if it would be best or even necessary to 

unauthorize my iTunes account before starting the process.
