Hi Harry,

Placing the Compass and Clock on the Home screen is entirely possible but
separating the Timer and such out of the Clock is not. The Alarm, Stop-Watch
and Timer are all built-in to the Clock app and thus cannot be pulled out.

To move items out of the Utilities folder, double-tap and hold on the item
until VO says moving said item. Don't let go then drag your finger towards any
edge of the screen, usually I go left or upper left. Vo will say something
like "Moving outside folder,", just lift your finger at that point and it will
be taken out of the folder. Press your Home button once to take it out of Edit
mode.

You can press it again to close the folder then use the same process to move it
to wherever you wish on the Home screen. Be careful not to drop it in another
folder or on another item. If it's dropped on another item, a new folder will
be created. If you move to the right spot, VO will announce the Row and Column
and you simply lift your finger to drop it there. Items after the place that
you drop it will be pushed out of the way. Also, note that if your page is
already full, items can be pushed to the next page.

HTH.
