I have decided to switch to them actually, and I've found exactly what you have in terms of accessibility. I'll be sure to contact them to ask about these problems. On the whole, though, the app is useable enough to get by. I love the status menu item, since I can quickly see what file is being backed up and at what speed (my initial backup is still happening).
