For whatever reason Apple has not implemented uploading files to a volume mounted via FTP in the finder. You can only peruse and download (copy) files. From the terminal you can do ftp, sftp, ssh and telnet.

    It is not a client, but I just mounted the server I need by
    pressing cmd-k in Finder. Now I need only open that volume to list
    all the files and folders on the server. You could also use
    Terminal if you enjoy the command line.
