Thanks to you all. My questions are a bit more specific, I think. I would like to be able to use the display without having the voice on at all. I was able to function with just a Braille display when I used Windows and I could turn the Jaws speech off or mute it. When I try to do that with the Mac, I continue to discover things I can't figure out how to do with VO and the Focus or any other Braille display.
For example, is there any way to simulate the VO command? Without that a lot of things are not able to be done. If, for example, I am looking at my list of E-Mail messages, and I wish to read one, I cannot do a VO J command to get into the message. That is just an example.
