FLAC opened just fine for me but I noticed I have something called
FLACImporter.component in my Library/Quicktime folder and I can't recall
where I got it from. Might have been part of FLUKE:

or maybe it was when I was fiddling with getting Ogg files into iTunes
that I installed this:
