Honestly, I like VLC more than most other media players. It's so much better on Mac than on PC. The cost is brilliant as well. :-)
I really don't like programs that forcibly add anything I listen to to my library. There's stuff I want to listen to and then discard or keep archived so add this limitation of iTunes with the limited formats it will play out of the box and thumbs down in most situations for me. If it wasn't for my iDevices, I don't know I'd use iTunes at all actually.
