bar in Safari
Combining some control mac keyboard commands.
If I've gotten any wrong, or someone has a better description, please let us
know.
If I use the word toggle, it means pressing once will do the action and
pressing again will reverse it. IE,
Ctrl f2, toggle between current application and apple menu.
VO m will open the apple menu but pressing it again will toggle it to the
extras menu and back to the apple menu..
Control f3 :
toggle between current application and the doc.
Control f4:
Seems to move between all open windows regardless of application but doesn't
move backwards or return to the window you started from.
Control f5:
Toggle between the tool bar and main application area.
Control f7:
move through edit fields much like the tab key does if set up a certain way.
IE, when writing a message, moves between to, from, cc, subject message body
etc.
Control f8:
toggle between current application and extras menu.
Plus, all the go commands that work in finder. The shortcuts can be found
from the go menu in finder.
EG, command shift d, desktop, command option l downloads folder.
And then, command E to eject drives or devices in iTunes,, command I to get
info on files in finder and songs/albums etc in iTunes.
There are lots more but I'm running out the door.
Danny:
PS, I know i meant to say EG and at times said IE, no time to correct.

And it's a toggle command I found to my joy. I keep finding great mac
commands that work better or more easily than VO commands lately. This,
the apple and extra menu commands etc are making my life so much easier.
Many thanks.

Also there is the Mac command Control+f5 that will take you straight to
the tool bar!
Standard Mac command!

Brain fart. I use command l and know that the search field is in the
tool bar but for what ever reason, the 2 disparate facts didn't combine.

Sure. Press command L or, command option F. That brings you into the
address/search field in the toolbar. From there, just navigate to the
element you want in the toolbar.

I snatched a great tip from David Woodbridge in 1 of his legion of
podcasts with a quick way to jump straight from the tool bar to the
HTML area in Safari and I'd never herd nor thought of it before so
wanted to pass it on. There is a caveat, this relies on the page
having a specific thing like a heading or link.
From the tool bar, just press the next heading command, VO command h,
the next link, VO Command l etc and it will jump you to the first
heading/linkā¦.
So much quicker than stop interacting, vo shift end and then ,
interacting with html area. :-)
While on this topic, is there a command to jump straight to or into
the tool bar with out having to stop interacting and doing VO shift
home?
Thanks to all.

Hi.
When i go to the address bar with command+l it highlights the current
address.
Then press command c to copy.
Hope that helps.

Hi
Is there a quick way to get to the address bar in Safari so you can
copy the website address you're on and paste the link in an email. I
can navigate to it via the toolbar.
If you press command l, you get to enter a new address but you can't
see the old one.
Thanks.
