I bought an SSD drive from Crucial and saved about $200 from what it would have cost for 512 GB configured in the Mini. I already had a 500 GB SATI drive, and you can buy a kit for installing the second drive from ifixit.com for about $69. I had a sighted friend do the work, as I was not going to try anything that deep. However, there is a nice video on youtube that walks one through the process.

I'm kind of disappointed that the standard drive is still 5400. I'd like > to get an ssd and a conventional 7200 rpm drive for a total of 2 drives, but > didn't see that option.
