Hi Ricardo,

thanks for your answer. I already wrote Apple concerning automation and
received the standard answer they were currently investigating this issue. But
let's hope they'll really do.

Just to get you right: You split the region where the effect should start. Then
you copy the newly created region you want to add an effect to a new track to
the same bar and beat, correct? Then you add an effect to this possibly very
short track, right? See, I'm a beginner and so I want to be very sure to do it
correctly.

Could you also please tell me in a few words how to handle my issue regarding
muting just a few bars of a long loop?

And a last question: I experienced something strange: I copied a region by
pressing CMD + c to the clippboard. I then inserted it at another place in the
song by pressing CMD + v. It worked fine and I was happy because it didn't
create a new track. But I was not able to loop this newly created region . All
I had was the 4 bars loop itself at the desired place in the song and couldn't
loop it longer then this. Did I do something wrong?

Thanks for your help and
all the best
Jürgen
