I like backpacks for carrying my computer around. Lots of additional
room for cables and such. I picked up one for $20 from Megamacs:

The battery is replacable but requires removing a jillion tiny screws
with special heads. Some people like doing this kind of thing others
would rather pay a service. iFixIt has instructions and such here:
