Hi Sarai,

The Griffin iMic only has one channel for either input or output device. If
you use Audio Hijack Pro, and have multiple input sources (e.g., the USB input
from the iMic, and the line-in port on your MacBook Pro), you have to set up
hijacking the sources sequentially and combine the two inputs in your editor
program.

When Chris Blouch answered you after you specified your inputs and what you
wanted to do, he recommended an ART USB Dual Pre, which is a unit that has a
USB connector, but also has two separate input connectors and another port for
headset monitoring. This unit does a lot more, and handles the dual channels of
input for simultaneous recording. It's also bigger than the iMic (weighs about
1.3 pounds, while the small iMic disk weighs about 2 ounces), and costs about
$79.00 (including shipping).

Looks like the pricing is the same at Sweetwater as at Amazon. I just put the
product name that CB gave into the search box. Here's the Sweetwater product
page:

HTH. Cheers,

Esther
