Mary not true you can burn straight M4A files to Cd but iTunes only supports creating them as audio Cds that you can either play on your Cd player or car stereo or whatever.

The files are m4a, and I want to make an mp3 cd. When I try to burn the
playlist, Itunes says it can't do that, I assume, because the files are not
already mp3. Is there a way to convert these to the highest quality mp3 and
then burn that to a cd?
