Actually, fusion will allow you to use your boot camp copy of windows in a 
virtual machine, so you may not have to go through all of that, however, 
creating a new virtual machine will offer you a few advantages. It's one file, 
so it's very easy to back up. If something happens to your copy of windows, 
just restore a backed up version. Not sure about the authorization for windows, 
but if it's been more than 4 months since you activated it in boot camp, I 
think it will work, not totally sure though. I use fusion here and it works 
well.
