To find a file in the trash, open it from your dock, or browse to ~/.trash in 
Finder. From there, it is a matter of copying or moving the file back to where 
you want (vo-shift-m might reveal a "restore" option, I didn't look).

To move files, hit cmd-c to copy them like normal. When pasting, though, use 
option-cmd-v to move the file, instead of just cmd-v, which copies.
