Hi, This has been a huge pain in the neck for me. I'd also really like to kick Apple for removing the right control key. Especially as there's a little space in between the left and up arrows where a mini control key might fit.
Anyway, here's how I've dealt with it. Like Ricardo, I too use the keybaord commander. Right option D is to move to the doc, right option q is to move to the desktop, etcetera. There's a few commands for which I need to move my right hand over to the VO keys on the left so my left hand can hit the other keys. This can be pretty annoying, but so long as you assign the most common ones to the keyboard commander you'll be right. I do have some troubles with the keyboard commander overiding other system keystrokes sometimes though. For example, an e acute (é) is made by pressing option-e followed by an e. But whenever I press option-e I launch Mail instead. But the problem is not insurmountable. So, in short, I can get by with my MacBook Air but I still much prefer using the full Apple USB keyboard on my iMac. I say we start kicking some Apple executives until they bring back the right control key. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
