Hi Caitlyn, I'm not sure what you mean about not getting full functionality with the Focus 40 Blue for obvious reasons. I'm using one daily with the Mac and it's working as well as any other display. I think when it comes to displays, a lot of it comes down to things like how you like to navigate, what controls you like to work with, the feel of the cells, the reliability, size, and how easy it is to get it serviced. There are a number of Braille display manufacturers who put their own brand on a European product, sell outside the European market, and have been known to have supply issues with parts. That's a consideration.
Braille is such a personal thing that if there's any way you can get your hands on a range of them, that would be a great thing to do. Good luck.
