As of mountain lion you should be able to write in grade two just as with all
other supported displays. Window-eyes and nvda support might be another
matter. The brochure says it does work with both, although window-eyes braille
support at least has fallen substantially behind the times. For example, you
won't be able to read and write grade two with WE. Also note that for best
results, you'll have to be running the latest screen reader version. I have
version 8 here and it's listed though I don't have a demo unit to try.

The braille edge is gorgeous. I seriously considered buying one, but my
6-year-old braille connect is still working as it did on the day I first took
it out of the box and hooked it up to my mobilespeak pocket pc phone. I don't
really need 40 cells either. 32 has been the perfect size for me and I want to
stick with it. Another potential detraction from the brailleedge is the fact
that executive products hasn't made a case for it yet. That's huge if you want
to use it with an IPhone.

All in all though, , it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if I could find some
clients who want brailleedge training. It's just an all around nice unit.

Have fun,

Erik Burggraaf
