This behavior is very strange. Did you try doing i and o marks? Remember not to move around the app's screen, you just need to use shortcuts and space bar to play and stop. Imovie is good, but selecting big pieces of video is slow. I find this app as a complement to iMovie. If you need some help, let me know! Best
