I would add that the best way to capture a screenshot for pasting later is the 
keystroke Command-Shift-Control-3.

That's the 3 in the num row. 

Use the command above without the control key and a file is created on your 
desktop containing the image.

If using the preferred method, you can go into a new location on the computer 
and paste with Command-V
