Hi again, In Numbers, I want a time-only column of cells. I have found out I need the Inspector, and I tried to create a time format then use the inspector to apply it. If I choose the default "date and time" format, it works, but "1245" turns into "12:45, January 1" or some such thing. I only need the time, but I need Numbers to know to treat these cells as times, not regular numbers, so math done on their contents comes out right.
So, in the format creation window, I went to the text field where vo reported a bunch of "embedded" items that looked like placeholders for where values go. I erased all the date-related ones and left the time ones in, but that does not seem to do it. after that field were a bunch of other embedded items in their own text fields; do I need to do something with those instead/as well, or did I set up the format right but apply it wrong somehow? Thanks for your patience as I figure all this out! Oh, and yes I googled it, but *everything* is for Excel and is just how to create formats, not what to do if they don't work.
