Hi, I have a Western Digital 2TB MyPassport USB external drive, and I’m trying to install the latest OS 10 onto the drive. I formatted the drive as Mac Extended, Journaled, and made 1 partition, also formatted as Mac Extended, Journaled, and set in the options to use the G U I table scheme. Clicked on apply and it reformatted and created the partition. When I install the latest OSX from the Appstore, it acts as if it will install to that disk, but after reboot, it’s suppose to take at least an hour or so, and the setup assistant is suppose to come up. The computer, instead, immediately boots into the login screen, as if the operating system had never been installed on the internal drive, so it boots from the internal. In startup disk, the external doesn’t show up as a disk to boot from. Not sure what else I can do. Any help would be appreciated.
