Why does Microsoft make getting an ISO and a key so dang hard? I would
think they'd just make it one of the standard options on their website.
Instead, I have to call a human being and give them my credit card over
the phone so they can dig out some secret hard to find copy. That sounds
kinda weird to me. Oh well, I will let you know what happens when I try
to get a copy of Windows. I'll probably get Windows 7 because Win8 is
getting a bit too visually difficult to use. For example, you can't
increase the font in the Metro interface at all if your monitor's
resolution isn't high enough.

It used to be that you could purchase an OEM copy of windows for a much cheaper
price, but I’m not sure if that is still possible. The OEM version did not
include tech support which really isn’t a big loss anyway.

You can always just call the store if you can’t find out how to get the ISO
online. But don’t let them sell you a system builder version of Windows. They
might try to do that. You can purchase the Windows 8 ISO and they will e-mail
you a key and a download link.
I don’t have the phone number handy right now.

Does Microsoft offer the ability to download the ISO along with a code rather
than a CD, and if so, what's the link to purchase and download said ISO?

Yu can download an ISO image, and the boot camp set up utility will create a
bootable flash drive that is used for the install.

I actually have a question regarding installing Windows 7 on a Macbook Air. How
do you install Win7 if you don't have a CD player? Can you download a file from
Microsoft? Is there a step-by-step guide on doing it without a CD?

Hi.
I know you cannot bootcamp a Mac to install Windows 7 without sighted help.
But what about Windows 8? Canyou get Narrator to start up at installation?
Also, has anyone tried using the talking Windows 7 installer to Bootcamp their
Mac? Thanks much.
