Hey, I have been a long time Tivo user, but never had much success with Tivo Desktop on the mac, in fact, I don't think I even still have installed. However, the Tivo Premiere and later boxes work fantastic with the iPhone app. I can now read my recorded shows on the iPhone, to do list, and manage my season passes, and I got the Tivo Stream, and after a few hiccups it works great if you want to stream Tivo Shows to your iPhone. Also, with the latest update to Tivo, and with the Stream and the latest boxes you can watch any of your shows as long as you are on a WiFi network, you no longer have to be on your own network, as I tested it out on my neighbors, and it works great. Considering how inaccessible almost every DVR is, Tivo has worked fantastic for me, and I would recommend it to anyone, of course, it is more expensive than going with your cable DVR, but the benefits and accessibility make it worth it.
