Go to the first file you want to highlight. Press VO command down-arrow and the 
file will be unselected. Press the combination again and the file will be 
selected and non-contiguous mode will be active. Hold the VO keys down whilst 
up and down arrowing through the list of files. Add the command key whenever 
you want to select or deselect a file from the selection list. It is a toggle, 
so each press will change the selection status.
