The process of making a drive into a new file system will completely wipe that drive, so anything you don't copy off will be gone forever. Once you're sure you have rescued your data, open up Disk Utility, select the drive from the table, go to the Erase tab, and click erase after specifying the options you want in the text boxes and popup menus. > > 2.
