Hi,

All those answers are correct. In regards to the CD/DVD question, I'll add a 
bit more. You can either add an external USB DVD drive, or use the "Remote 
Disk" option. This option allows you to use a drive on another Mac or a PC and 
mount it as if it were a CD on your mini. This assumes you're on the same 
network. There is an application to allow this to happen on windows that can be 
downloaded from the apple site, or it is enabled from System Preferences, 
Sharing, on Macs with a DVD drive attached.
