I'm not having any difficulty getting the screen reader keys using the caps 
lock. 
There are a lot of different ways people can be using the virtual machine. Some 
of those might make a difference. I use mine as a single window, not full 
screen or unity. I run into various key conflicts but that's not one of them.
The bigger problem I've had with JAWS is that it reauthorizes itself every time 
I reclaim space on the virtual drive. That's a common issue and part of why I 
don't really recommend JAWS in the virtual machine, but I did just test it and 
it works OK here using the caps lock fix you've implemented. So I'm not sure 
what might be going on.
