 I don't think it's generally a bad idea to post tickets based on anyone's
 mailing list postings. We already had cases where an issue was worked out
 on the mailing list, and taking over parts of the discussion to a ticket
 made sense in order to keep track of that particular issue in our main bug
 tracking facility. This way things won't get lost, and it's easier to
 follow what the current status of the reported issue is - which was one of
 the arguments that made us moving away from the mailing lists as facility
 to track bug reports.

 On the other hand I agree that we should take care to only file only
 detailed postings as a ticket. The resulting ticket should have enough
 information inside so that others are able to understand the actual
 problem and eventually could pick up working on it.

 Bottom line: nothing dramatically bad happened here IMO. We didn't detail
 this before, so we do now. No need to scale down involement (for both
 sides), do you agree?
