Comment (by [EMAIL PROTECTED]):
The problem was on with the Snap Gear Linux 2.4.27 kernel on the Gateworks
Avila platform. It appeared that the change in 1378 fixed problems on this
platform, and that 1404 broke the fix (in order to fix something on Power
PC). I believe the 1378 fix may have been correct on Xscale and that 1404
might be right for Power PC but they probably need to be individually
special cased out. We reverted to 1403 and everything compiled perfectly
(and we are running it fine) but with 1404 it did not compile. We are in
the process of getting up to speed with this platform, so if there was
someone else that could try to compile for one of these boards and confirm
or deny the problem that would be great. We can also try again to move up
to a newer version, but there was definitely a problem when we originally
tried. Thanks.
