i had the same problem aswell after upgrading. Im not using ath0 but a
eth* device in sta mode.
it was introduced in 1407 and can be turned of with `modprobe ath_pci
autocreate=none`. But i think the error message can be seen as a bug, it
should report something like "station mode already setup" and not a simple
"ioctl error".
