#498: Madwifi does not work with D-Link G-520 on FC5

I am using Fedora Core 5, with the release kernel, and have installed the
madwifi and kmod-madwifi packages from Livna. I have also added the needed
/etc/modprobe.conf lines. When I restart my computer, it sees the wireless
card as an Atheros (which it should be, it has an Atheros chipset), and it
sees my wireless networks that I can connect to and that they have
security enabled. However, I can't actually connect to them.
I am using 40-bit WEP encryption, and I have tried changing it to 128-bit
and even off, and it still will not connect.
