Comment (by myxia):
OK, I'm a newbie here and I admit to still being confused at the old and
new codebase, but this looks like a bug that popped up a lot maybe a year
ago in the 'old' madwifi codebase. The only patch suggestion I saw was
that looking at
| Wireless event: new AP: 00:00:00:00:00:00
| Setting scan request: 0 sec 100000 usec
| Added BSSID 00:40:05:53:ab:da into blacklist
| State: COMPLETED -> DISCONNECTED
the bug was that the new AP (00:00:00:00:00:00) was supposed to be added
to the blacklist, rather than the current AP (which is what happens). I
don't know enough of the codebase to be able to verify this, but it makes
sense, looking at it. I do have this problem (new AP causing disconnect)
with several versions of madwifi-ng (5.2 and 5.3 verfied, and I upgraded
because I was having issues) and I'd be happy to post any debug info
that'd be helpful if someone will walk me through it
will check back in here. cheers,
myxia
