#610: modprobe problem on laptop using Kubuntu

I started using Kubuntu on my Toshiba Satellite (P25-S509) laptop. I
followed the instructions about removing the old madwifi on the
[http://madwifi.org/wiki/UserDocs/FirstTimeHowTo newbie page].
I then go through the instructions that are found for the Ubuntu install
of [http://madwifi.org/wiki/UserDocs/Distro/Ubuntu madwife on the 5.10
version].
When I go to load the madwifi modules.

I didn't get any strange errors through the make process and everything
seemed to go fine.
Like many I'm a noob at this so any help would be great. I have everything
working on this laptop except the wireless and I'd be ecstatic to get it
working.
