A few things:
Are you sure you're using r1546 (i.e. installed and loaded in memory)
because your iwconfig shows 50 dBm txpower on startup (which really I set
it to 0).
Remember nothing changes until you do "ifconfig ath0 up". "iwlist ath0
txpower" should show the max power you can set based on the
channel/mode/regulatory constraints.
Can you show the above commands ?
